Douglas Falconer, Officer, EOW: 10/1/2008
Officer Falconer was on the second day of fighting the Sacramento Fire supervising an inmate fire-fighting crew on October 1, 2008. The fire was in the Havasu National Wildlife Refuse near the California border when Correctional Officer Douglas Falconer suffered a fatal heart attack. The four year veteran of the Arizona State Prison-Globe passed away in spite of efforts by the crew and other fire-fighters to revive him.
